TRANSITION

Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Our low key weekend turned out to be a bit more unexpectedly eventful that we had planned on. A little over a week ago the tile in our kitchen felt a bit warm to the touch. We just figured it was probably from one of our dogs having laid in that spot for a while, and we didn't think too much of it at the time. A few days later it sounded like our water was constantly running in our master bathroom, and hot water was coming out of the cold faucet in my bathroom sink. Fast forward to this past Saturday and the floor in our kitchen and adjacent family room was so hot to the touch. Yep, you guessed it...we had a water leak!

My first thought was "oh no, how long is our kitchen and family room going to be torn up for". Then I quickly began to think "hey maybe this will be a good opportunity for a kitchen remodel" ;-) Jordan didn't like that idea nearly as much as I did. Thank goodness really, the leak was under the carpet in the family room and not beneath the kitchen tile. It just missed the kitchen tile by a few inches, whew! It was an inconvenience for a day and an unexpected expense, but we really are grateful that it wasn't any worse than it was. And I'm happy to be able to wash my face again in my sink without nearly burning my face.

Even though our weekend ended up being a bit more eventful than we had planned on, we still managed to enjoy the beautiful spring like weather. I love today's outfit, because it is the perfect in between season outfit. I love the classic color combination of black and white, and the crochet back on this sweater is the perfect spring touch. The sweater is winter in the front and spring in the back, making it the perfect top for transitioning from winter to spring. Thanks for reading!
