TGIF!! What a week it has been! Jordan and I are off for a little stay-cation to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it has been 5 years since we said our vows in front of our family and friends in Arizona. That was by far the best day (aside from the day Charlie was born). It is incredible how different life is now than it was 5 years ago (and even more incredible how different things are now than they were when we met 10 years ago!). I recently found myself staring at Jordan's wedding ring. That little piece of metal jewelry that wraps around his finger and tells the world "I am taken". He doesn't wear it because he has to or because it's pretty. But rather he chooses to wear it every day, like he chooses to love me every day. Marriage is not easy... You can choose to make it stronger, to invest in each other, to know that your life together is worth the good and the bad. And the rings we wear symbolize the making of this choice every single day. He is no longer only my husband but also the father of my son, and because of this little life that we have created together and the family we have become, that wedding ring means more to me today than ever before because so does the man who wears it.
May 2nd is not only our anniversary but was also Charlie's due date! Lot's to celebrate today for sure!
