October is one of the best times of the year...the beautiful colors, cooler weather, heartier meals, Halloween and of course fall clothes. We have been trying to get out as much as possible and enjoy the fall in between school, parties and naps. One of our favorite activities was visiting the pumpkin patch as a family! Charlie searched and searched until he found the most perfect pumpkins (according to him of course). If it were up to him those pumpkins would stay inside the house with him. CASUAL LBD

Happy Wednesday! I can't believe we are already half way through the week! I have been wanting to get this outfit posted for a while now. A bad stomach virus had me down for the count and laid up in bed for almost a full week. This Joie dress is the perfect casual LBD for transitioning to fall. I first got it right before our trip to Chicago, and have pretty much been living in it. I wear it a lot with flats and I also love dressing it up a little with mules for a meeting or heels for evening. Thanks so much stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Tuesday! It is finally starting to feel a tad like fall here in Dallas...and I LOVE it! I recently got this Joie dress for our trip to Chicago. Unfortunately I never had a chance to photograph it there, but have worn it several times since and I'm pretty much obsessed with the fit. I already have my eye on this long sleeve one too! What fall dresses are you loving this season?

Happy Tuesday! We had a wonderful time relaxing as a family this weekend, after a successful (but tiring!) first week back to school. More on Charlie's first week in the 3's to come soon.

I wore this skirt a few times recently and love it! It is the perfect luncheon, wedding, event or even date night skirt. I have worn it with a silk white blouse, a silk nude cami and a simple white tank (shown above). And the best part is the pretty coral color! Have a wonderful week!

Joshua's naming and blessing

There is never a dull moment, that is for sure! Here is just a little look into the past few months. May was the rainiest month in history here in Texas. Then June was all about an unexpected home renovation that had us out of our house for 6 weeks. Those same two months also happened to be my busiest two months of client weddings. But in between it all we still managed to smile, have lots of laughs and spent wonderful time with family. It is so nice to be settled back in at our house, and enjoying the last bit of summer. Now if only some of that great midwestern weather would make it's way down to Texas ;-)

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

The greatest sale of the year is here!! Above are a few of my favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I especially love this TopShop skirt for the next few months of hot weather. And how about this Burberry jacket...every winter I look for something like this, but can never find anything on sale so this is great time to plan ahead and snag it now. Finally I love these Vince booties, which are perfect for transitioning into the colder months...and I have really loved and gotten great wear out of similar Vince shoe styles.

Early access for Nordstrom card holders has already begun. And the sale opens the public on Friday the 17th.
